Work-Related Education

In general, qualifying work-related education may include education that maintains or improves skills required in a person's current profession or that is required by an employer or applicable law to maintain an existing position or professional status.

Different rules may apply where education is required to meet minimum professional requirements or qualifies an individual for a new trade or profession.

Related Expenses

Depending on the circumstances and applicable tax rules, qualifying expenses may include tuition, educational materials, and certain business-related travel expenses.
