Dr. Diaz completed his dental education at the University of Costa Rica, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry in 2007. He then pursued further specialization and completed a Master’s in Oral Surgery and Bucofacial Implantology at the prestigious University of Barcelona under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Cosme Gay Escoda.

With a thirst for knowledge and commitment to excellence, Dr. Diaz continued to expand his expertise through numerous non-formal training programs and certifications. Notably, he earned certification in Maxillary Atrophic CustomLife in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, which further advanced his skills in implantology. Additionally, he became a certified surgical guide designer with Mguide in Israel, adding a cutting-edge dimension to his practice.

Dr. Diaz’s pursuit of knowledge took him to various renowned institutions, including the Brånemark Osseointegration Center in Barcelona, where he honed his skills in reconstructive jaw surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Joan Pi Urgell. Moreover, he has actively participated in scientific research and has presented his work at several national congresses, earning recognition for his valuable contributions to the field.

As a dedicated professional, Dr. Diaz has been practicing exclusively in implantology, implant rehabilitation, and oral surgery in Costa Rica since 2016. Prior to that, he gained valuable experience at private practice in Barcelona, and he also worked at the Dental Hospital of the University of Barcelona, where he focused on various specialized areas, including oral surgery, bucofacial implantology, periodontics, and oral medicine.

Dr. Erick Diaz is an active member of several esteemed professional societies, including the College of Dentists of Costa Rica and the Official College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Catalonia.
