Dr. Monje obtained his certificate and Masters in Periodontology from the esteemed University of Michigan, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. He is a certified periodontist by the American Board of Periodontics, showcasing his expertise and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

As a recipient of the ITI Scholarship, Dr. Monje had the opportunity to expand his knowledge and skills at the University of Bern in Switzerland. His dedication to furthering his education led him to earn a PhD in the field of alveolar bone architecture from the University of Granada in Spain.

Dr. Monje’s private practice, CICOM Periodoncia, focuses exclusively on Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. In addition to his clinical work, he holds prestigious academic positions. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Periodontics of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Department of Periodontology of the University of Bern in Switzerland.

With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Dr. Monje actively contributes to the advancement of the field through his editorial roles. He is an Associate Editor of “Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research” and a section editor of “Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry” and “International Journal of Oral Implantology.” Furthermore, he co-edited the book “Unfolding Peri-Implantitis” published by Quintessence.
