Dr. Khouly’s impressive background includes serving as the Associate Director of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry at the Bluestone Center for Clinical Research and as a full-time Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry. His dedication to excellence and commitment to advancing the field of implant dentistry have earned him board certification by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.
With an exclusive focus on implant dentistry, including surgical and restorative phases, as well as bone and soft tissue grafting procedures, Dr. Khouly’s expertise is highly sought after. He has received training from renowned institutions such as New York University, London University, and Oslo University, where he developed a unique approach to patient care. Driven by his pursuit of knowledge, he earned his DDS and master’s degree in tissue engineering, followed by three years of advanced program training in implant and comprehensive dentistry at NYU under the mentorship of Dr. Dennis Tarnow. Additionally, he obtained a PhD in biomedicine, specializing in sinus bone grafts, graduating summa cum laude and earning his International Doctorate Certification.
Dr. Khouly’s extensive clinical research in periodontics, implant dentistry, and related biomaterials has contributed to the advancement of the field. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles, presented his research at national and international meetings, and delivered numerous invited talks at prestigious venues worldwide. His commitment to staying at the forefront of implant dentistry has allowed him to master cutting-edge techniques and incorporate the latest advancements into his clinical practice.
As both an accomplished academic and esteemed educator, Dr. Khouly continues to inspire and educate fellow professionals. Through his leadership at the M.I.A.M.I. Institute and his contributions to the field, he strives to elevate the standard of care in implant dentistry and make a lasting impact on the global dental community.
